The Ethiopian Sports Federation in North America (ESFNA), founded in 1984, is a non-profit organization dedicated to promote the rich Ethiopian culture and heritage as well as build positive environment within Ethiopian-American communities in North America. Its mission is bringing Ethiopians together to network, supporting the business community, empowering the young by providing scholarships and mentoring programs, primarily using soccer tournaments, other sports activities and cultural events as a vehicle.
Founded in 1984, ESFNA is a non-political, non-religious, and non-profit organization.
We are proud to showcase all of our past cup winners of the annual ESFNA soccer tournament.

History of ESFNA
The Ethiopian Sports Federation in North America (ESFNA) is a non-profit, tax-exempt organization founded in 1984 to promote amateur soccer and cultural events within the Ethiopian community in North America. ESFNA holds a week long soccer tournament every year. Using the soccer tournament as a medium, the organization’s highest aim is to bring Ethiopians together for a multitude of reasons.
It was like a ritual to be at the event to meet with friends & Family every year except the last 3-4 years I moved to the motherland!!
